It’s water sport season, so the Green Team jumped at the opportunity to take a canoeing trip on the Nashua River. There’s nothing quite like learning about an ecosystem in a hands on environment, and we had a blast with all the native creatures.
With help and instruction from leaders at Nashoba Paddler, we were able to make the most of our experience on the river. We could not have asked for a better day to be canoeing and Mother Nature graced us with sunshine and warmth! Don’t worry, we applied sunscreen and stayed hydrated.
After this trip, the Green Team members can confidently say that they officially know the basics of canoeing. We remembered to always keep our life jackets zipped because water safety is no accident!
Thanks to our friends at Nashoba Paddler, we now know all about the river’s ecosystem and the organisms that swim in its waters and bask on its banks. It was a trip we’re not soon to forget!
